CNC Operator ($35-$39 Canton, MA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes used in the production of precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong machining experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up CNC lathes, including installing tooling, adjusting offsets, and verifying program accuracy.
Operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts to specification.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Perform basic troubleshooting of machines, tooling, and programs.
Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Maintain a clean and safe work area according to company standards.
Work with engineering or programming teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Qualifications
Experience operating and setting up CNC lathes (required).
Ability to read and interpret machining drawings and GD&T terminology.
Strong understanding of cutting speeds, feeds, tooling, and materials.
Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
Ability to edit CNC programs (preferred but not required).
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or technical training in machining or related fields.
